London-based journalist, editor and broadcaster with over a decade’s experience in covering arts and culture with a focus on music

————————————————————

As a journalist who’s interviewed some of the world’s best-known cultural figures, I have written for NME, Time Out, Spin, BBC Music, Record Collector, Wallpaper*, Vintage Rock, Classic Pop, Kerrang!, Grazia and many more. I was Commissioning Editor (Music) at NME between February 2020 and September 2022 – which meant commissioning features, reviews and digital cover stories – and was on staff at the publication for seven years.

In addition to article commissions, I'm available for editing projects such as the 116-page Record Collector Presents... The Rolling Stones In The 60s bookazine I recently oversaw. I am also available for record label bios, having written them for artists as varied as Sleaford Mods, Elliot James Reay and The Ovines.

An experienced broadcaster, I have hosted extensive video content for NME and appeared as a pundit on BBC Radio 4’s World at One, BBC Radio 5 Live and Channel 5’s The Gadget Show, among others. I held a regular reviewing slot on the Danish national radio station Radio24syv between 2017 and its closure in 2019.

I am also the author of Here’s Little Richard, an instalment in Bloomsbury Publishing’s iconic 33 1/3 series of books about classic albums. Mine pays loving tribute to the titular icon and is packed with interviews with some of the biggest rock and pop stars on the planet.
